Changing Lives in Cheshire Open Day - Gary Cliffe CEO, Carol Halpin, Volunteer Supervisor and Mayor of Winsford Cllr Mike KennedyCome and visit us!

Changing Lives in Cheshire (CLiC) was established to provide people on a low income the opportunity to access good quality items for the home at low cost. CLiC also provides employment, training and development opportunities for local people as well as enabling the re-use and recycling of waste to protect the environment. Last year the enterprise helped more than 3,000 Cheshire families.

The popular CLiC warehouse and community outlet store on Road Two on the Winsford Industrial Estate sells new and refurbished household goods and received around 40 new visitors during our Open Day and we were able to sign up new volunteers to work within the outlet and the workshops on site.

The Mayor of Winsford attended the open day and commented: “I was extremely pleased to attend the CLiC Volunteers open day, however this was not just a day to volunteer it was a day to learn how volunteering helps to gain valuable skills or experience for employment, an issue close to my heart. Volunteering is also a great way to help or give of valuable time to support and Changing Lives in Cheshire is a great and valuable Community Venture to do this.”

Cllr Kennedy continued: “Changing Lives in Cheshire is a marvellous organisation that recycles and reuses furniture and other goods, this helps the environment and is beneficial to those on a low income of which there are sadly very many to access really good quality items they may not otherwise be able to afford.”
