About Changing Lives Together
From our Changing Lives outlets, warehouse and workshops in Ellesmere Port, Warrington and Winsford:
We provide good quality new and pre-loved furniture for people on low incomes - and some great bargains and unique finds for all shoppers!
We provide employment, training and development opportunities for local people. In 2019 we supported 239 people.
We help protect the environment by reusing and recycling pre-loved furniture and electrical goods.
From our Cheshire Community Development Trust base in Northwich:
We provide Community Transport schemes: Dial-a-Ride, Rural Rider and Volunteer Car Drivers. These help people to access essential services, social and everyday activities. They are particularly designed to meet the needs of those who have a disability, are less mobile, socially isolated or experience barriers in using personal or public transport.
In 2019 our Community Transport users made over 40,000 trips.
We co-ordinate the Brightlife Buddy & Befriending Scheme - this helps to reduce loneliness and isolation amongst the over 50's across Cheshire.
In 2019 our volunteers gave over 2,300 hours of their time to support their socially isolated neighbours.
We provide a wide range of Community Engagement learning and support activites for individuals and small business in Cheshire.
Changing Lives Together is a Social Enterprise (and registered charity) - that means we reinvest in the people of Cheshire and Warrington and do not have any shareholders wanting profits.
